Dr. Ron Hornecker

Minister of Counseling

Ron Hornecker is certified as a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.  He earned his M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.  His pastoral experience (1963-85) involved serving four churches in Missouri.  From 1985-2006 he was on the faculty of Golden Gate Seminary directing the Doctor of Ministry and Field Education programs.  In addition to clinical and supervision experiences, he completed the counseling training program at the Lloyd Center Pastoral Counseling Center, an AAPC training center located near San Francisco, CA. He also served as a part of the on-call staff, seeing clients on a weekly basis from 1999-2004.  He was elected as the Minister of Counseling at First Baptist Church, SCW in 2006.
